Testing

Typically, once a project has entered production, a dedicated team will oversee the production phase, with project engineers assisting in evaluating and implementing any design modifications or improvements. This includes rapid prototyping, mold design, mold manufacturing, injection molding, value-added processes, and quality control.

Project engineers also coordinate order sources for custom parts and subcontractor tasks to ensure smooth quality, design, and shipping processes across all aspects of the project.

Quality control

YUCO controls the quality of key processes and manages project progress according to mold processing documents. We provide customers with weekly progress and quality reports.

  • All raw materials are inspected upon arrival at the factory.
  • All components, markings, and details are inspected during production.
  • All packaging details are inspected during production.
  • All products undergo final inspection before delivery.

We guarantee a mold life of 600,000 to 1,000,000 cycles. We guarantee high-precision mold processing results. If a component does not meet mold tolerance standards, we will rework or replace it with a new part. During the warranty period, if core mold components (such as the core, cavity, slide, ejector, etc.) are damaged by any unintentional damage, we will replace the part free of charge or refund your money.

How to choose a water bucket mold?

YUCO offers plastic bucket design and design optimization services. Upon ordering, we provide customers with complete 2D and 3D products and mold designs.

For product design, simply provide us with the type you require. If you already have a sample or drawing, we can redesign it to suit your needs. If you don’t have any samples or drawings, or even just an idea, we can design from scratch.

Regarding size, we can design molds for small 1-gallon buckets or large 5-gallon buckets. We are also fully capable of developing custom bucket molds for other sizes.

We also offer plastic buckets in a variety of shapes, including rectangular, square, rectangular, and round. Furthermore, our design team can incorporate other design elements, including buckets with lids and IML (in-mold labeling) buckets.

For design optimization, we analyze your bucket design and refine it to improve manufacturability. For example, reducing product weight is a common requirement. Reducing weight means lowering costs, but not at the expense of quality. Rest assured, our experts will find the perfect balance between weight and strength.

Concerned that your new product or drawing contains structural errors or needs further refinement? Don’t worry! We can provide 3D-printed samples for your close review and analysis before you order the mold. We can produce a detailed and precise prototype within 3 to 5 business days.

Our injection mold designers will propose a suitable mold design based on your bucket design. Bucket mold designs are optimized for uniform wall thickness and can be modified until perfect.

YUCO provides product analysis and Moldflow reports, providing feedback to customers on issues identified on product drawings, such as thin-walled areas, sink marks, vent holes, and gate location. Once the design is complete, we will check mold strength, parting lines, cooling systems, interference areas, thin-walled areas, and more. We will then discuss operating methods, molding machine dimensions, and actual mold mechanism motion during production. Mold fabrication will only begin after our mold engineers have a detailed discussion with the customer regarding mold engineering.

  • Core design: Our core designs utilize a one-piece solid mold base made of P20H or 718H steel, along with core inserts. These inserts can also be made of beryllium copper, reducing molding cycle times by at least 10-15%.
  • Ejection method: Friction between the core and cavity during demolding must also be considered. Because the bucket’s walls are thin, friction can cause deformation during demolding. We can ensure smooth ejection of the bucket from the mold, enabling automated production!
  • Parting surface selection: For bucket plastic parts, a beautiful appearance, free of blemishes and weld marks, and high surface quality are essential. When selecting a parting surface, consider the principles of parting surface selection. YUCO buckets have only one parting surface, resulting in a flash-free exterior and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

A variety of machining techniques may be used in the manufacturing of bucket molds. One standard technique is milling, in which a rotating tool shapes and carves the mold material. Another option is electro-discharge machining (EDM), which uses electricity to remove minute portions of material from the mold surface.

Each manufacturing process has its advantages and limitations, so the specific machining technique will depend on the desired end result and budget constraints.

We utilize advanced mold manufacturing equipment and high-quality materials to ensure durable and efficient molds. Our CNC machines offer an accuracy of up to +/- 0.02 mm, ensuring your buckets are precisely dimensioned. Double-head EDM machines are not only more efficient but also suitable for machining large molds. High-speed engraving machines, while more expensive than standard engraving machines, ensure fast and precise mold processing.
